RISE AGAIN

And so she was there upon the hill

a pale and gloomy look on her face

her heartbeat so fast but movement so still

the sign of happiness could not be traced.

she looked down into the ocean

and all she found were foaming waves

she looked up in hope to find the mighty sun

but all she found were cloudy caves.

the darkness in her life was taking a toll

her heart was there but love was gone

the miracle that once touched everyone’s soul,

her beautiful smile is remembered by none.

she sat and thought all day long

“why people who dream big are called insane?”

she found her answer in a sudden song

and then she knew she must rise again!
